Bio
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, I specialize in research and teaching at the intersection of hospitality analytics, revenue optimization, tourism economics, and the evolving dynamics of short-term vacation rentals.
With over 20 years of international professional experience in the hospitality industry, spanning hotel management, casino operations, and executive leadership across Germany, Morocco, Vietnam, Switzerland, and the U.S. I bring a practitioner’s insight to academic research and pedagogy. My work is driven by a desire to bridge the gap between theory and industry application, and to empower students with data-driven decision-making tools that address real-world challenges.
My research agenda focuses on:
Revenue management and partitioned pricing
Dynamic pricing in STVR and hotel markets
Economic and financial impacts of tourism events
AI and technology integration in guest experiences
Pricing strategies and property valuation
I hold a Ph.D. in Hospitality Management from the University of South Carolina, where I’ve presented at numerous international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. I’m also certified in CHIA and CAHTA, and actively engage in academic-industry partnerships and student competitions.
Fluent in Arabic, English, French, and German, I thrive in multicultural settings and am passionate about preparing future leaders for a global hospitality landscape.
Let’s connect if you’re working on research collaborations, speaking opportunities, consulting projects, or just want to talk about how analytics can shape the future of hospitality.
