Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA)

Hospitality is one of the world’s largest industries. FIU's Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, through a new partnership with the Chapman Graduate School of Business, is offering a new focus of study, a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) with a Hospitality Concentration. This DBA, offered by two top-ranked colleges within FIU, is designed for you, working senior-level and C-suite industry professionals who are looking for advancement or to pursue the next chapter in your career.


This degree will provide you with the foundation to condu
ct both academic and industry research. This foundation ranges from hospitality theory, qualitative and quantitative research methods, organizational behavior and theory to research design, as well as data collection and analysis.

Under the guidance and mentorship of our expert faculty, you can leverage these new skills and tools, together with your executive experience, to advance in your current career, become an independent consultant, or join the ranks of hospitality professors.

Program Fees

Tuition for the DBA program is $74,175. Tuition does not cover the costs associated with conference travel, residency, books, and materials. All fees are subject to change.

Application Deadlines

The deadline to submit an online application, supporting academic credentials, and documentation to be part of this first cohort for the Spring Term (January) is December 1st. After the application deadline, applications will be evaluated on a space available basis. Class size is limited thus we encourage interested applicants to apply early.
